Short answer: Send a single Google Form with a dropdown (XS–4XL) and collect responses before placing your order—Togethread accepts mixed sizes at one flat price per piece with a 50-piece minimum.
Collecting sizes from 50+ people sounds simple until someone submits theirs a week late, another person asks for a different size two days before the deadline, and you realize half your team forgot to fill in the form. Here’s a reliable system that works.
Don’t collect sizes over text or email. Every reply lands in a different thread and you’ll lose track. Instead:
Export responses to a Google Sheet when you’re done. One column per field, one row per person.
Send the link once with a clear deadline. Three to four days before the deadline, send one reminder to anyone who hasn’t submitted. Don’t chase people daily—it trains them to wait.
A quick message that works:
“We’re ordering group shirts! Fill out this 30-second form by [DATE] so we can include your size: [LINK]. After that, we can’t guarantee yours will fit.”
The last sentence matters. People respond to FOMO more than politeness.
Once submissions are in, pivot-table your Google Sheet responses into a size breakdown:
| Size | Count |
|---|---|
| S | 4 |
| M | 12 |
| L | 18 |
| XL | 10 |
| 2XL | 6 |
| Total | 50 |
Add 2–4 extras in your most common sizes (usually M, L, XL) for last-minute additions or misprints. If your group tends to run large, weight toward L and XL.
Many US printers charge extra for 2XL and up. With Togethread, all sizes—XS through 4XL—are included at the same price per piece. You don’t pay a surcharge for larger sizes, so order the sizes your group actually needs without budget math.
The 50-piece minimum applies to the total order, not per size. You can order 1 piece in 4XL and 49 pieces in M if that’s what your group needs.
When you submit your inquiry, include your size breakdown in the notes field. Your dedicated designer will confirm the full size run with you before the mockup is finalized—no surprises. You approve the design and the size list before any production begins. Finished product photos are sent before you pay the balance, so you can verify quality before it ships.
Orders ship duty-paid (DDP) direct to your door—no customs fees on arrival.
What if someone needs to change their size after I submit? Size changes are possible before mockup approval—just email your contact at Togethread. Once production starts, size changes aren’t possible, which is why the form-and-deadline system matters.
Do I need to order equal quantities of each size? No. You can order any combination of sizes as long as the total is 50 pieces or more. There’s no per-size minimum.
What’s the largest size available? Togethread produces up to 4XL. If you need sizes beyond that, mention it in your inquiry and the team will let you know what’s available in the specific garment you want.
